An open casting call was launched this week asking for app developers for a new reality TV show called Planet of the Apps.

Not much is known about the format for the show as of yet, however participation for the show will be limited to 100 of the worlds most talented app creators with filming expected to begin late this year and running through to early 2017.

Contestants will be competing for mentorship, featured placement on the App store and up to $10million funding.

Developers who wish to take part in the show have until August 26th to apply and must have an app in a beta or functional state by October 21st.
